Behaviors taught include Name, Attention, Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Walking on Leash, Polite Greetings, Canine Good Citizen testing, and problem solving. Let's Train offers the most flexible group training classes available known as "Levels Training." Levels obedience training is a group program offering unlimited training sessions during the period you are enrolled.
Due to the rapid influx of new students, our Level 1 class has become crowded. Therefore, to continue to provide high quality classes, we need to begin scheduling and limiting when new students can start.
Students that have gone through our Puppy Socialization class can start Levels classes at any time and DO NOT need to attend the Orientation class mentioned below.
To allow for class sizes to remain reasonable, we will admit 3 new students per week. Your first class will be a scheduled orientation for you and your dog. We encourage you to enroll early to reserve your spot in the next available orientation class. In order to book an Orientation class, students must first sign up for one of the Levels memberships. Continue reading for more details.
After enrolling in class, you must schedule your Orientation class in order to begin classes. Space is limited to 3 new students per orientation and will be held on Mondays from 6:30 - 7:30pm. After you attend your Orientation, you may begin attending any and all Level 1 sessions. Please call 419-351-5809 to schedule your Orientation.
After you sign up for class, please call us at 419-351-5809 to schedule your Orientation class, which will be held on a Mondays at 6:30pm. If you absolutely cannot make the above time slot, please call to make other arrangements. After you attend your Orientation class, you can begin attending the other Level 1 sessions.
Levels Obedience Training classes are membership-based, where you enroll for a specific time period. During your enrollment period, you attend as many of our drop-in style classes as needed. Classes are separated into levels, with each level more advanced than the previous. You must meet specific criteria to advance to the next level. Levels classes provide incredible flexibility for dog owners! Check our schedule to see when each level has sessions offered.
Your membership begins when you attend your first Level 1 class.
Classes are "Drop-In." This means that you can decide which classes to come to, based on the level you are in. "Drop-In" does not mean that you can come into class at any time during the class. You must arrive to class at or before the specified starting time. Late arrivals are subject to being turned away, due to the distraction that it causes to a class in progress. Thank you for your understanding.
At first glance, many people feel the cost of levels classes is high. Let's do a quick analysis to see that your cost per class is actually quite low.
A 2 month membership in levels classes has a minimum of 4 sessions a week that you can choose to attend. In 2 months you could choose to attend at least 32 classes. Membership is $310, so cost per session is $10.33. Additionally, you have incredible flexibility as to when you attend classes. You are not stuck coming to class on the same day and time each week. If you can't make one of the sessions, you won't be left behind.
One big drawback of fixed-length classes is that the class advances at a fixed pace. That means, dogs that are having difficulty will feel like they are being left behind and dogs that are doing well feel like they are being held back.
Levels classes allow you to advance at your own pace. Dogs that need more time at beginning behaviors can take that time. Timid dogs will also require more time at the beginning levels. Dogs that catch on quickly, can move ahead when ready and not have to wait.
There are specific requirements that need to be met at each level before the student can be graduated to the next level of training. Below is a description of each level and the requirements to graduate to the next level.
The Orientation class familiarizes students with the class structure, rules, and teaches basic mechanics and impulse control games. The Orientation class is for People and their Dog. ALL NEW STUDENTS MUST ATTEND AN ORIENTATION CLASS AFTER SIGNING UP FOR LEVELS CLASS. Students that have gone through our Puppy Socialization class DO NOT need to attend the Orientation class.
